Temple Middle School traveled to Heard County on October 20th 2016, zand captured their 2nd Football Championship in 3 years. The Tigers were led to victory by Ronald Tanner who scored 3 touchdowns throughout the game. 8th Grade players, Ronald Tanner, Tyler Lathery, Thomas Jenkins, Phillip Johnson, Anthony Spychala and Chris Moore provided great leadership throughout the season inside and outside the classroom.

This is special for TMS. The Tigers have appeared in the Football championship game for the last three years, and have won twice. TMS is coached by Head Coach/Offensive Coordinator Jody Wilson, Defensive Coordinator Lance Hill, Offensive and Defensive Line Coach Arlin Blackwell and Special Teams Coordinator John Butler. This is the second football championship for Wilson and Hill and the first for Blackwell and Butler.
The coaches are very proud of how the 8th graders have trained, practiced and performed the last 3 years. Since the fall of 2014, TMS has won championships in Football and Basketball twice and Baseball once.
