University of West Georgia 2012:   Master of Arts in Teaching,  Business Education, 4.0 GPA

This is my 5th year teaching. I taught special education in the math classroom at the high school level for 3 years and at the elementary level in math and reading/language arts for one year.  Two of my years were in Fulton County and the other two years were in Carroll County.

Prior to working in education, I worked in the business sector as an Operations Manager.  I left the business field because I wanted to help students be successful in life.

I am a native Georgian as I grew up in Cherokee and Douglas Counties.  I am married and have three sons who all went to Temple Schools.  We have lived in Temple since 1999.  My oldest son James is also a teacher and worked at Temple Middle School for 3 years.  I am excited to be part of the Temple Middle School Family.

It is my goal to bring real-life experiences into the learning environment for your child. I encourage creativity and utilizing different technology and tools in learning. Each student has different strengths and weaknesses.  It is my goal to help them discover their strengths, adapt, and overcome their difficulties and enjoy learning.

In my free time I enjoy sewing, embroidery, crafting, photography, scrapbooking, reading, and camping with family and friends.

If you have any suggestions that will help your student be a better learner, please send me an email, letter, or call to schedule a meeting.  My email address is
